The village, Ashwell, must be one of the best kept secrets: a very friendly village with a real sense of community, and lovely buildings going back hundreds of years. Particularly recommend the 'Bushel and Strike'. There are lots of walks through beautiful countryside. And there is relatively easy access to London."
